The Iranian Federated Women’s Club/Payvand in partnership with the International Performing Art Center, has prepared very special programs such as Summer Camp Payvand 2017, After school, Weekend school and Winter Camp Payvand.
The style of teaching is based on the phonic system that was adopted from the British System and special method of using “Ostad Behzad” art that was used at former Vijeh Private Elementary School in Tehran during the 1950s -70s.
It is interactive and is the combination of how our Iranian ancestors learned to read and write via Sound, Art and Music with American and Scandinavian systems
Our counsellors can’t wait to meet new campers as we dive into 5 days of fun Persian classes, music, dance, art, science, theater, and games. We want our campers to enjoy performing and building new friendships.
After School Program, Week days- 3:00PM – 6:00 PM – Starts from August .
5 days a week 3 hours a day -15 hours
Ages: 5 to 17
Sunday or Saturday Persian classes: 10:00 AM-1:00 PM – Starts from September.
4 weekends per month, for 3 hours a day – 12 hours

Camp Payvand Winter 2017 – Begins on MONDAY, Starting – December 25th through December 29th at 9:00AM through 12:00PM (Extended care opens till 4:00PM, if needed).

Our Goal:
Our Program is designed to provide each student students with an environment in which he/she will grow and develop to his/her fullest potential, intellectually, socially, physically, and emotionally. Our program offers a unique combination of arts, Math, Science, Chess, Literature, Visual arts, Singing, Chorus, Martial arts, Composition, Persian, English, Sewing, Music, Dance, Drama, Publishing Children Story book, Field Trips, Magic and enrichment classes to create a fun and constructive experience.
Summer Camp, Sunday classes and after school programs provide students with an opportunity to expand their knowledge, to discover their talents, and to develop positive methods to express themselves. Our caring environment and well-trained staff provide a place where everyone feels safe and secure, develops confidence and self-esteem, explores new opportunities, and builds a sense of community.

– Persian teachers, speakers, facilitators, storytellers and artists: Fariba Nejat, Kathy Homara, Taraneh Yazdanfar, Mojgan Nikfarjam, Alireza Havaei, Neda Abootorabi, Neeka Mirpour, Sarina Zadeh, Anna Sadr, Behnaz Dahmubed, Armin Agha-Ebrahim, Amir Kalantar, Parsa Mirpour, Nazli Rezaei and Sonya Herrera.
